Summary of Curriculum Vitae

          

Konstantinos G. Moulakakis, MD, PhD, MSc, FEBVS, is an Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery, MD, PhD, MSc, FEBVS, in the Department of Vascular Surgery, University Hospital of Patras, University of Patras, Greece (since January 2020). He graduated in 1997 from the University of Patras-Greece and he completed his Thesis at the University of Athens in 2007. He has completed a 5-year residency in General Surgery and a 4-year residency in vascular surgery. He is a board-certified vascular surgeon (Hellenic Board Certification for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery 2008, German Board Certification for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery 2009, European Board Certification for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery 2011). He has worked in the past in the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, University Clinic of Cologne, Germany and he has successfully graduated from the postgraduate Program “Endovascular Techniques” (organized by the Department of Vascular Surgery, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Milano - Bicocca, Monza). He has worked for approximately 10 years as a consultant of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Vascular Surgery, Athens University Medical School, “Attikon” University Hospital, Athens, Greece.

             He has more than 180 international publications, Google Scholar Citation Index: 5360h- Index: 41, he has participated in unfunded and funded clinical studies (GALA Trial, STRATO, ACST II, RECOVERY) and protocols and he was the principal Investigator in Greece in the OVATION Post Market Registry. He is a member of the Collaborative Research (CORE) Group, Sydney, Australia (International Advisory Committee), and also a member of the European Society for Vascular Surgery.  He has received several honors, praises, and awards in Greece and Europe and an educational grant from the European Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a member of the Editorial Board of International peer-reviewed journals and a reviewer in Annals of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Vascular Diseases (VASA), Journal of Endovascular Therapy (JEVT), Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery (ACS), Vascular and Endovascular, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery (Torino), International Journal of Angiology, European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, PlosOne.
