Summary of Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Konstantinos Faropoulos graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2007. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Patras in 2015 and subsequently pursued subspecialty training in endoscopic skull base surgery at Université Paris Cité. Concurrently with his residency, he earned a PhD focused on oxidative cerebral stress.

Ηe worked as an attending neurosurgeon at Nicosia General Hospital between 2016 and 2024, while also serving as an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Nicosia, Medical School (2021–2023), and subsequently as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Nicosia, Medical School (2023–2024). Over the course of his career, he has performed numerous brain and spinal surgeries, with particular expertise in endoscopic skull base procedures, microsurgical treatment of brain tumors, and neurotrauma.

Ηis scientific contributions include multiple publications in internationally recognized medical journals. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several esteemed neurosurgical journals. His research interests are extensive, with a focus on cerebral oxidative stress, cerebral edema in brain tumor patients, and neuropsychiatric disorders following head trauma.

Οver the past decade, Dr. Faropoulos has regularly presented at the annual Hellenic Neurosurgical Congresses, where one of his presentations received the award for Best Poster while in 2015, he was awarded second place in the Hellenic Neurosurgical Competition "Ch. Antoniadis". He also actively participates in international training courses to remain at the forefront of his field.

Dr. Faropoulos is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Patras.
