Summary of Curriculum Vitae

Dr Christina Kalogeropoulou is Professor of Radiology at University of Patras (UP) Medical School, Patras, Greece. She studied Medicine in the same University, graduating in 1993. She was trained in Radiology in Greece (Residency training: University Hospital of Patras). She had a Radiology Fellowship at Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital and Royal Hospital of Sick Children , Yorkhill, Glasgow (GB).  She received the title of Specialist in Radiology in Greece in 1998. She was awarded a PhD degree by the UP in 1999 and was elected in the position of Lecturer in Radiology in UP Medical School in 2003. She was elected as Professor in Radiology in 2019. Dr Kalogeropoulou participates in the teaching of Radiology of Medical School students and in the Integrated Teaching Courses of the UP teaching curriculum. She participates in the teaching of Radiology Residents and provides diagnostic work in the Department of Radiology in the UP Hospital, in cross sectional imaging (MDCT, US, MRI). Her research interest focuses on liver diseases (cirrhosis and HCC), on the development and evaluation of protocols  of computer aided diagnosis  systems (CAD)  in mammography and chest HRCT  and on the implementation of 3D imaging protocols in MDCT [CT-Angiography,  CT pyelography]. Furthermore she has a special interest in the development of AI prediction model in the field of preoperative imaging of patients with hyperparathyroidism.
She supervises 6 PhD dissertations and is a member of the 3- and 7-member advisory committees in 5 and 25 PhD dissertations, respectively. She has 131 full publications in international journals, 10 in electronic journals, 5 full publications in Greek journals and 28 full publications in symposia proceedings. She has co-authored 10 book chapters and participated as a co-author in the book of Clinical Radiology edited by the Greek College of Radiology.
She has 2366 citations (h-index= 26 ). She has 86 presentations as invited speaker in national and international meetings. She has participated in 6 grants (principal investigator in 1).
